Lynnise Pantin is the Vice Dean of Experiential Learning and the Pritzker Pucker Family Clinical Professor of Transactional Law at Columbia Law School where she is the founding director of the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic.
Her scholarship examines business law, economic justice and critical race theory. In past work, she has focused on the systemic socioeconomic barriers faced by small business owners and entrepreneurs of color. Her recent journal articles include “Financial Inclusion, Cryptocurrency and Afrofuturism” in the Northwestern University Law Review, “Race and Equity in the Age of Unicorns” in the Hastings Law Journal, “The Wealth Gap and the Racial Disparities in the Startup Ecosystem,” in the St. Louis University Law Journal and “What’s Wrong with Jumpstart(ing) Our Business Startups (Jobs) Act?” in the NYU Journal of Law and Business. Most recently, she has undertaken research on the reparative frameworks of cannabis social equity policies.
Pantin joined the full-time Columbia Law faculty in 2019.
She earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her B.A. in Media Studies from Pomona College.
